The BSMI of Taiwan on July 1, 2026, a draft amendment to the inspection regulations for products such as secondary lithium-ion power banks. The amendments are scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2027 (products listed in item 01 of the table below) / January 1, 2028 (products listed in items 02-05 of the table below). The main changes are: the application standards have been changed to CNS 15598-1, CNS 15936, and CNS 62133-2; a new standard CNS 15663 has been added (products listed in items 01-03 of the table); new product names to be inspected include: secondary lithium-ion battery charging boxes and secondary lithium-ion mobile vehicle starter power supplies; and secondary lithium-ion power banks listed in item 01 must comply with Appendix G of CNS 62133-2, "Puncture Test".
