    <div class="tt">China issues the first normative regulations on radar radio management.</div>
    <div class="txt2 txtimg"><p>In order to better manage and utilize radar radio resources, ensure the order of radio waves, promote technological progress and industrial development, and at the same ensure public safety and national security, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the &quot;Regulations on Radar Radio Management (Trial)&quot; (No. 22 the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, hereinafter referred to as the &quot;Regulations&quot;). <span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">The &quot;Regulations&quot; will be officially implemented on January 1,2026.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>This &quot;Regulation&quot; is the first normative document on radar radio management in China, and its significance is mainly reflected in the following:&nbsp;</strong></p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"><strong>Firstly</strong><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">, </span></span>combined with the actual use of radar in China, the development of technology and the resilience and security of the industrial and supply chains, it includes 9 types of radar in 7 categories below 100GHz, which basically achieves full coverage of the main types of radar in China.&nbsp;</p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"><strong>Secondly</strong></span>, itifies the frequency use range and radio technical indicators of various radars, providing clear policy basis for the standardization of the research, production, import, sale and use radar equipment.&nbsp;</p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"><strong>Thirdly</strong></span>, it optimizes the coordination procedure of radar radio management, simplifies the approval process, and effectively reduces the burden of users.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">Finally</span></strong>, makes clear regulations on radar interference coordination, electromagnetic environmental protection, inspection of in-use stations and equipment management, further standardizing radar radio management and ensuring the safety of the space.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><hr/><p><strong>Below we will detail the frequency division, equipment management, over-policy and implementation time.</strong><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><strong><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 0, 0); color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">&nbsp;I.&nbsp;Frequency division:&nbsp;</span></strong></p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">1. Aviation radar frequencies</span></p><p>　(1) Air traffic control secondary radar: 100MHz, airborne air traffic control transponder: 1090MHz.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 　(2) Air traffic control primary radar: 1250-130MHz and 2700-2950MHz.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 　(3) Radio altimeter: 4200-4400MH.&nbsp;</p><p>　(4) Airport surface surveillance radar: 9100-9500MHZ.&nbsp;</p><p>　(5) Airport runway foreign object detection (FOD equipment): 76-77GHz and 92-94GHz.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>　(6) Airborne weather radar uses the same frequency band as ground weather radar</p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">2. Meteorological radar frequencies</span></p><p>　(1) Wind profiler radar: 46-68MHz, 470-494MHz, and1270-1375MHz.</p><p>　(2) Weather radar: 2700-2950MHz, 530-5600MHz, 9100-9500.</p><p>　(3) Cloud radar: 34.75-35.5GHz, 93.5-94.8GHz.&nbsp;</p><p>　(4) Meteorological detection radio stations (stations) using meteorological balloon and radar positioning; 1675-1685MHz.&nbsp;</p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">3. Water traffic radar frequencies</span></p><p>　(1) Marine radar: 2900-300MHz, 9300-9500MHz.</p><p>　(2) Vessel traffic management system shore-based radar: 9100-500MHz.&nbsp;</p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">4. Land traffic radar</span></p><p>　(1) Automobile radar: 76-79GHz, and the relevant requirements shall be implemented in with the &quot;Notice on Issuing the Interim Provisions on Radio Management of Automobile Radar&quot; (No. 181 of the Ministry of Industry and Information [2021]).&nbsp;</p><p>　(2) Traffic roadside radar: 92-94GHz.&nbsp;</p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">5. Hydrological, geological, marine, and other disaster and reduction radars</span></p><p>　(1) Marine radar: 4438-4488kHz, 5250-5275kHz 9305-9355kHz, 13450-13550kHz, 16100-6200kHz, 24450-24600kHz, 26200-26350kHz, 39.5-40MHz.&nbsp;</p><p>　(2) Hydrological radar: 402-403MHz, 9100-50MHz.</p><p>　(3) Ground-based deformation monitoring radar: 15.7-17.2GHz.&nbsp;</p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">6.&nbsp;Micro-target detection radar</span></p><p>　Radar for small target detection (including insect, bird, and UAV detection radars, etc.): 2900-310MHz, 9000-10000MHz, and 15.7-17.2GHz.</p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">7. Other radars&nbsp;</span></p><p>　The frequency range for short detection radars and unmanned aerial vehicle-mounted radars is the 24-24.25GHz band, and the relevant requirements shall be implemented in accordance the Announcement No. 52 of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2019.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255); background-color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">II&nbsp;Equipment management:</span></strong></p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">1. Model approval</span></p><p>The radar radio transmitting and receiving equipment shall conform to the radio frequency technical requirements listed in the standard. For the development, production or import of radar equipment domestic sale and use, the application for the type approval of the radio transmitting equipment shall be submitted to the national radio management organization.</p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">2. Electromagnetic radiation protection requirements</span></p><p>Units or individuals using radar shall comply with the national regulations on environmental protection and take necessary measures to prevent the electromagnetic radiation pollution caused by the emission of radio.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255); background-color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">III&nbsp;Excessive policies and implementation time</span></strong></p><p>1. From January 1, 2026, the national radio management organization will no longer accept and approve the type approval application of radar transmitting equipment that does not comply with this regulation.</p><p>2. For those that have obtained the type approval certificate, the type approval certificate will not be extended after its expiration.</p><p>3. The radio management institutions at all levels shall no longer accept new applications for radar frequency use permits and radio station (site) establishment and use permits do not conform to these regulations.</p><p>4. Radar radio stations that have been set up and used in accordance with the law, after the expiration of the period of use of radio frequencies the validity period of the radio station license, if they need to continue to be used, can still apply to the radio management agency for the extension of the use of frequencies and radio stations (stations) in accordance with the law, until the original equipment is scrapped.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>For more details, please inquire BTL Inc.</strong></p></div>
