On October 23, 2023, FCC released KDB388624 D02 Pre-Approval Guidance List v18r04, which replaces 388624 D02 Pre-Approval Guidance List v18r03. PAG items UNIDFS have been removed. This means that from now on, 5G DFS Master and 5G DFS client devices with radar detection capability no longer need the PAG process.

Overview of the FCC certification history of 5G DFS Master and 5G DFS client devices with radar detection capability:

1. Before March 4, 2020, the PAG process needs to be run, and samples need to be sent to the FCC official for testing.

2. From March 4, 2020 to October 23, 2023, due to the impact of the new coronavirus, the Columbia Laboratory Department in the United States stopped DFS verification testing (that is, there is no need to send samples to the FCC for official testing), but it still needs to go The DFS PAG process is required to obtain FCC certification. For the PAG period, it is based on the work of FCC, maybe one or two weeks.

3. After October 23, 2023, there is no need to send samples to FCC officials or go through the PAG process.

The new regulations will greatly shorten the FCC certification period for 5G DFS Master and 5G DFS client devices with radar detection capability.
