The ACMA webpage has been updated to refer to AS/CA S043.2:2016, replacing the reference to AS/CA S043.2:2015 on 24 Marc

    AS/CA S043.2:2016, published on 9 August 2016. Upon publication, this technical standard has effect under the Telecommunications (Customer Equipment and Customer Cabling) Notice 2015 made by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).


    For the purposes of the ACMA Standard, defined as Telecommunications Technical Standard (Requirements for Customer Equipment for connection to a metallic local loop interface of a Telecommunications Network – AS/CA S043)2015, the transition period is 6 months.

 

    The ACMA webpage http://www.acma.gov.au/theACMA/s043 has been updated to refer to AS/CA S043.2:2016, replacing the reference to AS/CA S043.2:2015 on 24 March 2017, such as the following:

 

    The ACMA standard Telecommunications Technical Standard (Requirements for Customer Equipment for connection to a metallic local loop interface of a Telecommunications Network – AS/CA S043) 2015 adopts a three part industry standard. These are:                                                                                                                                                     
 ●AS/CA S043.1:2015– Requirements for Customer Equipment for connection to a metallic local loop interface of a Telecommunications Network – Part 1: General;                                             
 ●AS/CA S043.2:2016– Requirements for Customer Equipment for connection to a metallic local loop interface of a Telecommunications Network – Part 2: Broadband; and
 ●AS/CA S043.3:2015– Requirements for Customer Equipment for connection to a metallic local loop interface of a Telecommunications Network – Part 3: DC, low frequency AC and voiceband.
